Guinea pigs

We are Fields & Farms guinea pigs – Shirley, Hazel, Marigold, Betsy and Daisy.

We are five loving girls who adore being fussed.

Students like to make us fruit salads as well as design and build us houses and toys to play with.

We can be found racing around our large run or just having a sunbathe when the weather’s nice!

Rabbits

Hi, we are Trixie and Trevor! Fields & Farms adorable bunnies.

We like exploring and making friends with all the students and we love cuddles!

We’re quite big so we do like a run around but must have a nice long snooze in our run after.

We have two small feathery friends who live with us too.

Pony

I’m Ruby the pony and I have a nice large paddock to run around in.

The young people help with my regular health checks I need, work with me on the ground and lead me into the paddock in the morning from my stables.

I am a very calm and sweet girl who adores fuss, a brush and lots of treats.

I also like to talk a lot so don’t be surprised if I say hello when I see you!

Goats

I’m Beau and I’m a a hand-reared Toggenburg Swiss Mountain goat. I am very friendly and can be quite a cheeky goat at times…

I am very clever and know lots of tricks like high five’s and walking on a lead. I also like to do show jumping over poles in the paddock.

I’m little Bert the pygmy goat so I am quite small – but I have a big appetite!

I love going on walks and being fussed. I really like it when young people go and look for my favourite snacks around the farm and make me enrichment toys with their findings.

Ducks

We are the chatty ducks.

We don’t believe in being quiet because we have a lot to say everyday.

Steve and Diane are Indian runner ducks. They stand up tall and are always found together.

The Aylesbury and Rouen ducks are bigger so not as fast but still as greedy…

We all lay delicious eggs for the young people to cook with or put out on the stall outside to sell and raise money for more resources.

We can usually be found splashing around in our big pond or dozing on the banks.

Chickens

Us chickens are a mixed bunch – some of us are Warrens and we lay lovely brown eggs. Others are colourful Legbar chickens who lay beautiful blue eggs.

Our senior Orpington ladies also live with us and they just choose when they feel like laying eggs, or not…

All of us adore our big enclosure and love exploring the enrichment equipment the young people make for us.

We are hungry ladies so we devoir our bowls of porridge for breakfast every day! Like the ducks, we lay eggs for the young people to cook with or sell on the stall outside.

Cats

We’re Basil and Porridge and we love exploring. We’re super-friendly and very playful farm cats.

We enjoy nothing more than popping up in weird and wonderful places all round the farm and announcing our arrival at the tops of our voices!

Oh, and tummy rubs are an absolute must when we ask.
